Herringbone & Chevron

Our signature. Classic parquet patterns in engineered wood or LVT, set out from the centre of the room with a laser line so every point runs true.

Best for living rooms, hallways and period homes

02

Engineered wood

A real oak wear layer on a stable core, giving you the warmth of solid wood with far less movement.

Best for living spaces, bedrooms, hallways

03

LVT

Luxury vinyl tile: warm underfoot, water-resistant and tough, with realistic stone and wood looks.

Best for kitchens, bathrooms, busy homes

04

Vinyl plank

Quiet, comfortable and easy to live with. Click or glue-down planks that shrug off spills.

Best for kitchens, utility rooms, rentals

05

Laminate

Great value and hard-wearing, fitted on the right underlay for a solid, quiet floor.

Best for bedrooms, living rooms, tighter budgets

05 Meet the fitter

Hi, I'm Ryan. Floors are my craft.

Pav's Flooring is my Swindon-based floor fitting business. I'm a fully certified floor fitting specialist, and I offer a bespoke, designer flooring service: everything from a straightforward laminate bedroom to an intricate engineered wood herringbone.

Local retailers, including The Carpet Shop (Swindon) Ltd, trust me to fit floors for their customers. I bring the same standard to every home. I measure properly, set out with a laser, keep the place tidy and finish with the details: skirting, beading and doors that close sweetly.

What customers say.

“100% would recommend. Ryan fitted me a new floor in my kitchen as I needed something more hard-wearing and a colour that actually matched my house. He found me the perfect colour and made my kitchen look drab to fab! Another highlight was my brand new skirting to finish off the look, which Ryan recommended, and I'm glad I listened.”

“We approached 2 companies before being recommended Pav's Flooring. The level of service has been amazing. From the moment I contacted until the final touches were applied, attention to detail has been incredible. Ryan helped us calculate how much flooring to buy, helped with underlay and beading too. Very knowledgeable, tidy and timely. Cannot fault a single thing.”

How much flooring do you need?

Add your rooms for a quick estimate of area, wastage and packs. Then send the numbers to Ryan, who'll always measure on site before you order.

08 Questions

Good to know.

Can't see your question? Call or text 07521 010730.

What types of flooring do you fit?

Laminate, vinyl plank, LVT (luxury vinyl tile), engineered wood, and herringbone and chevron patterns. We also fit new skirting and architrave, scotia and beading, threshold bars, and trim doors to suit the new floor height.

Can you fit flooring I've bought myself?

Yes. If you haven't bought it yet, Ryan can help you work out exactly how much you need, along with the right underlay and trims, so you don't over- or under-order. Try the calculator for a first estimate.

Is herringbone more work than a plank floor?

Usually, yes. Herringbone and chevron take longer to set out and cut, and you should allow more for wastage (typically 10–15%). Done properly, the result is stunning, and you'll always get a clear quote first.

What's best for a kitchen or bathroom?

LVT or vinyl plank is usually the go-to for wet and busy rooms: water-resistant, warm underfoot and very hard-wearing. We'll talk through the options for your space, including colours that tie in with the rest of your home.

Does my subfloor need preparing?

A flat, dry, sound subfloor is the secret to a floor that lasts. We check this when we measure up and will advise if any levelling or boarding is needed before fitting.

Which areas do you cover?

We're based in Swindon and fit across the town and the surrounding area. Not sure if you're covered? Just ask.
